Telling Linux Where Your Legacy SCSI Card Is (in This Case a Zip Zoom)

Most people use PCI adapters these days, but if you have an old ISA SCSI card that Linux can't find, here's one way to install it (The specifics are for a Zip Zoom which is actually an Adaptec card. Others are similar):
  1. Compile the appropriate driver into your kernel.
  2. Insert a line into lilo.conf like the following:
append="drivername=I/O address, IRQ, SCSI ID, reconnect"
    Here's mine: append="aha152x=0x140,11,7,1"
