The version of Lilo that accompanies Redhat 7.0 has the handy feature of
displaying an image and a menu instead of just the lilo: prompt. You can change the image to whatever you want, just edit /boot/messages as a PCX
file. The first colour is used for text, the second is the background and the
last colour in the palette is used for highlighted text (the highlight is just
the text colour, I think). At least, that's how it worked for me. I can't find
any documentation on this. Oh, and if you want to get rid of it, remove the
message=/boot/message from your /etc/lilo.conf.
