Annual General Meeting (2009)

As a non-for-profit corporation, LOSURS is required to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM). Among other business, the AGM includes elections for half of the Board of Directors, and the presenting of the corporation's financial statements for the preceding fiscal year.

Our next AGM is scheduled for Sunday, March 21st, 2010 at 1:30pm in the board room at Access Communications (2250 Park St -- the corner of Park and Arcola).

All members are encouraged to attend the AGM. For those of you not able to attend, minutes of the meeting will be distributed afterwards. Doughnuts will likely make an appearance once again!

Elections for the Board of Directors

LOSURS directors are elected for two-year terms, and the terms are staggered so that half of the board is up for re-election each year. This year, the following three directors' terms are expiring: Summer Hartzfeld, Kevin Mack, and Scott Wunsch.

The final list of nominees is still pending, and will be presented at the AGM. The full list of candidates as it stands so far and can be found on the Nominee List.

Financial Statements

The LOSURS Secretary, Alex Marz, has prepared the usual set of financial statements for the fiscal year ending September 30th, 2009. In addition to the copy available online, printed copies will be distributed at the AGM.

In keeping with the decision made at a previous AGM, this year our financial statements have also been reviewed by an external individual with accounting experience. The result of this review will be presented at the AGM.
